Open-Camp is a free, community-driven map of camping-related locations across Scandinavia and beyond. Our goal is to make it easy for caravan owners, motorhome travellers and tent campers to find great places to stop, sleep and explore.
The project is open to everyone. Anyone can browse the map without an account. Registered users can contribute by adding new locations, writing reviews and uploading photos — helping fellow travellers make informed decisions.
Open-Camp is a non-commercial project. We do not charge for access, and we do not sell advertising.

Open-Camp is built on community contributions. Here is how it works:
Active contributors earn ranks — from Explorer to Legend — based on their contributions. Rangers and above may be invited to become moderators.
We reserve the right to remove content that is inaccurate, offensive or in violation of these terms.

This policy applies both to the website and to the Open-Camp mobile apps, which display the same website.
When you tap “Use my location” (on the map, when adding a location, or in the trip planner), the app asks your device for its location to centre the map or place a pin. This happens only when you request it, is processed in your browser/app, and is never sent to or stored on our servers. We do not track your movements.
We use essential cookies only: a session cookie to keep you logged in, and an optional “remember me” cookie if you choose it. We do not use advertising, tracking or fingerprinting cookies, and we do not use cross-site tracking.
Our CDN and DNS provider. Cloudflare may process request metadata (such as IP addresses) as part of its network security. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Map tiles load from OpenStreetMap servers when you view the map. See OpenStreetMap's privacy policy.
When you search for an address or use automatic address lookup, your query (text or map coordinates) is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to find matching places.
Optional. If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google confirms your identity and shares your name, email address and account ID with us. See Google's privacy policy.
Optional. If you choose “Continue with Apple”, Apple confirms your identity and shares your name (first time only), email address (or a private relay address) and account ID with us. See Apple's privacy policy.
We send account and transactional emails (welcome message, password reset) to the address you register. We do not send marketing email.
Open-Camp is operated by Single Sign-on AS (Norway). Under the GDPR you may access, export, correct or delete your personal data at any time:

You retain ownership of photos and reviews you submit. By submitting content, you grant Open-Camp a non-exclusive licence to display it on the platform. Photos you upload are automatically marked with a small Open-Camp watermark (our logo and the open-camp.eu address) when shown on the platform — this does not affect your ownership of the original image. We will not use your content outside of Open-Camp without your permission.
Location information on Open-Camp is contributed by the community and may not always be accurate or up to date. Always verify opening hours, access rules and facilities before visiting a location. Open-Camp is not responsible for any inconvenience or loss resulting from reliance on information displayed on the platform.
Overnight stays at rest areas and parking locations may be subject to local regulations. It is your responsibility to check and comply with applicable rules.
These terms and our privacy policy also govern the Open-Camp mobile apps, which display the same service. If you enable notifications in the app, they are delivered from the website and are never used for advertising.
Open-Camp is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. The service is operated from Norway, and these terms are governed by Norwegian law.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Open-Camp after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
